Today my second grade team finished our last Professional Development day for the summer! Yay! I am very excited about this upcoming year! The changes, the curriculum, the students, just everything! I'm very pleased with what we accomplished over our PD days. We were able to plan out the entire year with connected standards and activities! First time ever!!! Normally, we are still working on our pacing guides until Christmas, so this just makes me even more ecstatic! We also finished the first 3 weeks of daily detailed plans with a stack of activities that needs to go to the printer!
Tonight after dinner, Landon decided he needed to have a movie night at school. So...off we went with Lilo and Stitch in tow! While he watched his "now" favorite movie, I started sorting my classroom library books because my awesome new baskets came in today from Really Good Stuff. (Pictures later) I purchased a book bin organizer/labels from Teachers Pay Teachers to get me going in the right direction, I hope it stays organized during the year!
Before the night was over, I finally hung my table number poms! So cute!
Each table has a different pow word...pow, kaboom, bam, zap, boom, & bazinga! I'm very thrilled at how they turned out! Thanks to my team teacher Deanna for making the poms!
